On Thursday, November 19th, 2015 atop the Hay-Adams Hotel overlooking the White House, Jamaican-born Computer Scientist, Dr Tyrone Grandison, was named "Most Inspiring Up & Comer" by FedScoop - the leading Gov IT media company in Washington, D.C. that engages top IT decision makers and influencers from government and the tech industry every day both online and in-person.

He was also recognized at the FedScoop Awards ceremony for his work as a part of the team that won "Innovation Of The Year" for the CitySDK initiative.

CitySDK  is an open source, community-based, user-friendly software development kit for civic technologists, which takes the pain out of interacting with Federal data, removes the need for them to become experts in Federal methods and terminologies, and gets hacktivists to a deliverable quicker and with less hassle; all while enabling them to connect local and national public data through a simple and elegant Javascript library.

The team at Proficiency Labs is honored to know Dr Grandison and are proud of his achievements.
